Danny's definitely got something.
After his final diaper change for the evening, where we get his jammies on, I found little red bumps.
>_>
There's a small group of about 8 on one bum cheek, 6 on the other, two up on his chest, and one on his left shoulder blade.
They're very small, less than a millimeter in diameter, and the skin around them isn't red. They kind of look like mini blisters, or pimples, but without a white center. They don't seem to be bothering him, they're just kind of there.
They weren't there at our last diaper change, which was about 4 hours before.
... Don't judge, I try to conserve resources without making him uncomfortable. WELFARE IS NOT AS AWESOME AS REPUBLICANS TRY TO MAKE IT SOUND.
So! Because of this new development, I won't be doing a Fear post tonight. I'm a little too worried about what could be ailing my baby boy. A couple friends on the FB have suggested chicken pox, but if it were that, wouldn't Danny be uncomfortable? He wasn't phased when I touched the bumps. And how was he exposed to the virus?
Yet I have no idea what else it could be.
He hasn't had any new foods, or touched anything out of the ordinary, or been around anything different lately, so it's not an allergic reaction. And I know what that looks like, I'm deathly allergic to penicillin and niacin, and anything remotely related to the two, so I know very well what different levels of allergy reactions look like. All the way up to HOLYSHITNOTBREATHING. Which is just so much fun!
It looks a lot like CP, but... I just don't know how he could have caught that! We haven't left the house in a couple days, and before that, we weren't around anyone who hadn't had it as children (no one we were around has been exposed to the live virus in the last few years). Let me see if I can't find a pic online of something similar...
They look like this, without the red around the bumps. Like, that one at the top there, that's pretty much exactly what they look like.
I put a very small dab of Desitin on the bumps on his bum, to keep the diaper from rubbing them (like you would put calamine lotion on chicken pox to keep them from getting scratched by clothes or whatever), and didn't touch the ones on his chest or his back. We'll see if they clear up by morning, or if anything develops through the night. I have the monitor on, and I'm going to google around and see what I can find.
So again, no Fear post tonight. Sick baby > Fear post.
If the bumps go away by tomorrow, or they don't get any worse, I'll do a post during Danny's nap. Otherwise, I'll make sure to keep y'all updated, but there won't be a Fear post until Danny's better.
Sick baby > Fear post.
Tough bananas, kids.
Side note: I'm so freaking bored. I hate being isolated like this. Fuck my life. ._.;
