Okay. So after reading a couple other blogs, I've discovered something kind of cool and new.
The Fear Mythos.
Now, the Fear Mythos is a sort of spin-off from the Slenderman Mythos; TPF (tall, pale and faceless) is a character in this mythos, but he's not alone. There are 22 other "creatures" in the core theory of the myth, with many lesser characters. Here's a site dedicated solely to the mythos:

Also, a couple links to TvTropes with stories and main characters:

Oh, and a Wikia site:

I think I'm going to do the next post about the Fears themselves; as in, a list of Fears and what they mean, description, and a little bit about their story.
Something I've noticed about scary stories: there is usually some sort of "good" bad guy, like a villain who actually isn't a villain. Does that make sense? But this mythos doesn't have one. It kind of makes me sad, because it makes it seem so futile to fight in the stories.
So, while I leave you to read a little bit into this new mythos I've pulled up, I'm going to go back to reading this story: To Light a Candle. It's based completely off the Candle Cove story from CreepyPasta, found here. There's also a video of the episode they're describing at the end of the story, found here. I'm extremely amused and absorbed by this story. Makes me think of what my mom used to tell me, that she'd tape an entire VHS of commercials so she could play the tape and I would sit in front of the tv, staring like a dork, while she took a shower or did the laundry. Mind you, at that time, I was like, 2. But it was still weird.
Okay, it's almost Daniel's nap time, so I'm gonna go tend to him and read some more. :3 As always, comment or email if you have anything you'd like to share or anything you'd like to say! ^_~v
EDIT 12/13/12: Here's a great wiki with lots of useful information on how to get into the mythos, which stories to start with first, and a little description. I highly recommend checking it out!
